KOLABA FORT
Kolaba Fort located at Alibag beach is an old fortified maritime base in Alibag, Konkan, India. It is situated in the sea at a distance of 1–2 km from the shores of Alibag, 35 km south of Mumbai, in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. It is a popular tourist destination and a protected monument.
KIHIM BEACH
Beauty of Mandwa Kihim beach is shown in many Hindi Films of India. With the name Mandwa, surely lovers of Hindi cinema will recall Amitabh Bachans block buster movie, shooting for which was conducted at this picturesque location. Fishing village Mandwa is located on the north coast of Alibag.
BIRLA MANDIR
20 Kms from Alibaug on the Alibaug – Roha route near the Salav village is the beautiful 'Birla Mandir'. Ganesha is the main diety of the temple with ‘Riddhi and Siddhi’ on its either sides. There are small temples of ‘Radha-Krishna’, ‘Shiv-Parvati’ and ‘Suryadeva’ also in the Birla mandir. Aarti at Birla temple is at 9.00 am and 7.00 pm everyday.
MURUD JANJIRA FORT
About 21 km from Kashid Beach, this fort is surrounded by the turquoise colored waters of the Arabian Sea. Dating back to 15th century AD, built under the rule of Emperor Malik Amber, the ruler of Ahmednagar, the structure sports an enchanting entrance to the fort depicting a carving of a tiger trapped by six elephants.
KANKESHWAR TEMPLE
Located about 3 kms from Kihim Kankeshwar temple is located atop a hill near Mapgaon. Kankeshwar Temple built in 1764 by Raja Ramdeorai Yadav has a silver plated idol. The temple also has a Kund known as "Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh Kund". "Brahma Kund", a rectangular tank surrounded by steps on all four sides has is on the way up.
